How to keep your skin shiny and beautiful

Wash your face twice a day

Exfoliation removes dead skin cells and smoothes the skin for a lighter look. You should exfoliate your face and body several times a week. More often it irritates the skin; less frequently causes accumulation of dead skin cells.

You can buy scrubs from the pharmacy or make your own. A good natural peeling is a sugar and honey. There are many body peels for exfoliation below the neck.

You can also use a brush to scrub your face. Put a few drops on your brush on a damp face. Then rinse.

Use exfoliation gloves on the body. These gloves can be worn in the shower. Collect them with your favourite body. Exfoliate before shaving to get an extremely close and smooth body. Do not use gloves on your face.

Remove makeup before going to bed

If you stay on, makeup can clog pores and cause acne breakouts. It can also make your skin become more dull during the night. Remove makeup every evening with a make-up wipe, a cream or a cleansing agent. After removing the make-up, wash your face.

Take your vitamins

There are several vitamins that can improve the health and appearance of the skin. You can take them as supplements or eat foods rich in these vitamins.

  • Vitamin A can help reduce acne caused by oil build-up. Vitamin A can be found in fish oil, carrots, spinach and broccoli.
  • Zinc can soothe the skin and regulate oil production. Zinc occurs in turkey, almonds and wheat germ.
  • Vitamin E can heal scars and reduce redness. Vitamin E is found in sweet potatoes, olive oil, avocado and green leafy vegetables.
